Waterbabies Frisco

Our Waterbabies classes teach real skills while being in a warm, comfortable environment. This is not just playtime!

Waterbabies Orientation: FREE 30 min class

Parents join baby in the water

During this class, you and your child will experience the water and participate in a Waterbabies class. This lets you both understand what a class will be like. We offer these classes on most Saturdays but, when necessary, we do provide some weekday classes. To find out about class times, just give us a call or use our online enrollment form.

*Note: For your safety, children under the age of three are required to wear two washable, reusable swim pants.

Waterbabies

Parents join baby in the water

During class, instructors use fun songs and educational programs that build your child’s confidence. Your baby will learn to get comfortable with submersion and develop underwater breath control (8-10 seconds).

Waterbabies+

Parents join baby in the water

This class is for children who have already learned how to submerge for 8-10 seconds. During this class, children learn the skills that enable them to be more independent while they are in the water. The instructor will help them learn how to move at least three feet through the water. At this level of swimming ability, instructors seek to strike a balance by allowing babies enough freedom without feeling scared or struggling. We work to ensure that your child never experiences fear while in the water.

Advanced Waterbabies

Parent joins baby in the water

If your child has learned to kick for at least three feet in the water, this is the class for them. This class helps them to develop new skills in an enjoyable environment. During this class, they will develop more confidence in the water. They will continue to practice kicking skills and be able to exit the water safely.

When your child reaches this level, they are acquiring important safety skills such as entering and exiting the pool safely. They will also learn how to kick in the water for at least five feet. These children often draw attention because everyone is amazed that young children can swim so well.

Super Waterbabies

Parent joins baby in the water for the first 3 weeks

If your two-year-old child can move through the water for five feet, this is a good class to build their confidence and add skills. During the class, your child will be with the instructor. You can watch and cheer for your child from the pool deck. This helps young swimmers as they develop the sitting jump, skills and confidence to be able to turn while swimming, and propelling themselves seven feet in the pool. This is important for their safety in the water.

X-treme Waterbabies

Parent not in the water

This class is designed for two-year-old children who can move successfully seven feet through the water.

During this class, the instructor helps the toddler to be able to propel themselves ten feet and rollover to get a breath. The class also teaches the important safety skill of water entry and turning to swim back to the wall
