Aquatots Dallas – Preston Forest

3 years

This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.

Toddler Swimming Classes in Dallas - Preston Forest

In our Preston Forest Waterbabies program, your little one learns about breath management, water submersion, and directed kicking, all while enjoying fun songs and games.

They will also learn and practice the safety skill, Jump-Turn-Swim. We keep the classes cozy, so whether your little one is taking their first plunge or already knows a paddle or two, Emler is the perfect place for them. We’re seasoned in helping beginners learn to swim and enhancing the skills of experienced tiny swimmers to reach Waterbabies competency.

Each of our class groups are intentionally kept small and perfectly age-balanced. Here, every child learns the basics of water safety – how to submerge, how to kick to move forward in the water, and how to turn around and get back to the wall.

The Emler Method

Learning should be fun, right? That’s the Emler belief. We ensure that our classes are always a mix of learning, growth, and loads of fun. Games, laughter, and engaging songs, games and fun are integral to our teaching style. In our inclusive, non-competitive space, every child’s progress is a reason to celebrate.

Our dedicated teachers guide your child to discover the world of swimming, step by step, skill by skill. From holding their breath to rolling over, from submerging to swimming solo – every new ability adds to the excitement.

In every Emler class, we foster an environment of joy and support, where children naturally hone their swimming skills. Our teachers share a deep bond of trust and support with the students. With a time-tested curriculum and over four decades of experience, we at Emler promise your child will learn to swim.

Parents

Parents, we invite you to join us in this wonderful journey! You will start in the water with your child and progress to observing poolside when your little one is ready. For tips on making your child’s first swimming lesson smooth, take a look at our guide, YourChild’s First SwimLesson. Rest assured, Emler facilities are designed with the utmost attention to safety, hygiene, and comfort for both our little swimmers and their parents.

Selecting the Right Class for Your Toddler

Choosing an environment that corresponds to your child’s swimming ability is key. It fosters their confidence and growth. We have multiple levels in all our programs.

Take a look at our guide, Finding the Right Class for Your Child. With four distinct levels in our Waterbabies program, we ensure the class matches your child’s abilities.

What Your Toddler Will Learn

Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs and games, making them more fun.

The Waterbabies program has six levels that help place your toddler at the right level depending on their skills. You can start by attending the Free Waterbabies Orientation.

In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.

As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.

As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.

At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath.

Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
