Aquatots Houston – Vintage Park

3 years

This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.

Toddler Swimming Classes in Houston - Vintage Park

If you're looking for a swim class that uses games, imagination, and daily themes to teach your toddler how to swim, look no further than the Vintage Park Aquatots program.

Through a variety of fun activities, toddlers learn submersion, breath control, and destination kicking to become safe, accomplished swimmers.

The Aquatots program is designed for three-year-olds who are developing and enhancing their swim skills. To ensure your child is learning in an attentive, safe environment, classes are held at a maximum 4-to-1 ratio.

Emler teaches children with little-to-no skills or some existing skills how to become better swimmers. The skills learned and improved during the Aquatots program range from safely submerging to kicking forward through the water.

Emler’s Approach To Swim Classes

Emler understands how important it’s for children to learn and grow in a fun atmosphere, which is why all swim classes combine fun, learning, and growth. Rather than using competition or fear-provoked techniques, children are taught in a positive, nurturing environment where achievements are celebrated.

Children progressively become better swimmers by holding their breath longer, rolling over in the water, submerging underwater, and moving independently. You can take comfort in knowing every class is led by certified, supportive instructors. In fact, Emler in Vintage Park is proud to offer classes full of laughter, excitement, and trust, with strong teacher-student bonds.

The Emler Guarantee promises your child will learn to be a skilled swimmer, and a top-notch curriculum combined with 48 years of experience teaching children proves your little one is in the right hands.

Parents Attendance Is Always Welcomed

Parents are always invited to watch and cheer during the swim classes, which they can do on the deck or in the observation room. When enrolling your child, you can learn more about our classes, the facilities, and how to make the experience easier by reading Emler’s guides, Your Child’s First Swim Lesson and Emler Facilities. You can rest assured your child is learning in a facility that takes safety, cleanliness, and physical comfort seriously.

How To Find the Right Class for Your Toddler

At Emler in Vintage Park, we believe it’s important for your child to start learning to swim in the right environment. We want them to boost their self-confidence in a place full of positive reinforcement. As a result, we evaluate their skills to ensure they’re learning in an atmosphere that matches their skill level.

Swim classes are offered at over 20 different teaching levels and age-specific programs. In addition, children 3 and older receive a free, 20-minute one-on-one Swim Skills Evaluation with an instructor to determine what class is right for them. You can learn more about finding a program that is right for your child by reading Emler’s guide to Finding the Right Class for Your Child.

What Your Toddler Will Learn In Aquatots

Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs and games, making them more fun.

The Waterbabies program has six levels that help place your toddler at the right level depending on their skills.

In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.

As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.

As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.

At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath.

Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
