Aquatots Katy

3 years

This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.

Toddler Swimming Classes in Katy

Enrolling your 3-year-old in the Emler Waterbabies Program in Katy is a great way to introduce them to water safety, as instructors use songs, games, and the imagination to teach toddlers submersion, breath control, and destination kicking. One example is playing peek-a-boo to learn turning around to get back to the wall.

The Waterbabies program is designed for babies and toddlers who are developing or enhancing their swim skills. Emleris dedicated to getting them used to or helping them gain more experience in the water.

Classes are kept small to ensure every student is getting the attention and supervision necessary. In addition, toddlers are in the water with their caregiver until they can hold their breath for 8-10 seconds and move independently through the water 3-5 feet.

Whether your toddler is just learning to swim or enhancing their skills, the Waterbabies program allows them to learn skills ranging from submerging safely to kicking forward in a supportive environment.

Emler’s Approach to Toddler Swim Classes

Toddlers have the opportunity to learn and grow as swimmers while having fun during class. Instructors ensure all classes include celebrations and positive reinforcement, and you never have to worry about fear tactics, stress, or competition. Everyone learns together and encourages one another at Emler Swim School in Katy.

Classes are taught by certified, highly specialized instructors who want toddlers to discover their love for the water. Through progressive steps, they’re able to submerge, hold their breath longer, roll over, and move through the water on their own.

When you pair exciting classes full of laughter with a strong teacher-student bond, Emler’s swim classes are full of fun, support, and trust.

Emler Swim School boasts an award-winning curriculum and decades of experience, proving that toddlers can learn to swim independently. Additionally, Emler guarantees your child will learn the skills of the level and be confident in the water.

Parents Can Get Involved

The involvement and encouragement of parents is important, which is why Emler allows you to watch and cheer from the deck, bench or observation room. Are you enrolling your toddler for their first swim lesson? Learn how to create a positive experience by checking our “Your Child’s First Swim Lesson” guide. Learn to Find the Right Class for Your Toddler

Our age-appropriate programs feature over 20 progressive levels, and determining where your child should start can be overwhelming. Emler in Katy offers the “Finding the Right Class for Your Child” guide to help parents find the right class for their toddlers.

What Your Toddler Will Learn

Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs and games, making them more fun. The safety skill Jump-Turn-Swim will be learned and practiced over and over.

The Waterbabies program has six levels that help place your toddler at the right level depending on their skills. In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.

As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.

As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.

At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath.

Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
