Aquatots Round Rock

3 years

This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.

Toddler Swimming Classes in Round Rock

In the Round Rock Waterbabies program, your toddler learns submersion, breath control, and destination kicking through using toys, songs, and games that spark their imagination.

For example, your child will play peek-a-boo to learn to turn around and get back to the wall for safety.

All classes group kids of the same age group for a sense of comfort, and the classes are limited in size. This way, instructors can give students the attention, support, and supervision they need throughout their class.

Whether your toddler is being introduced to the water or ready to submerge safely and kick forward, Emler’s Waterbabies program is dedicated to developing and improving their swim skills.

The Emler Approach to Swimming for Toddlers

All kids want to learn and grow in a fun atmosphere, but learning through play is almost essential for toddlers because it keeps them comfortable while holding their attention. This is why all classes at Emler combine fun, learning, and a progression of skills to teach children in a positive atmosphere. Competition and fear tactics have no place at Emler, and instructors focus on positive reinforcement and celebrating every student’s accomplishments, big or small.

It’s understandable to want your child to learn to swim from a highly-specialized instructor, and you can rest assured that all instructors at Emler in Round Rock are trained and certified to work with children. They’re dedicated to helping children feel confident as they learn to submerge, hold their breath longer, independently move through the water, and eventually roll over for a breath. Classes are full of cheerfulness, support, and trust with a strong teacher-student bond.

Emler has 48 years of experience and a top-notch curriculum that proves children can start swimming at a young age. Emler also guarantees your child will learn how to become an accomplished swimmer.

How Parents Can Get Involved

Toddler parents accompany their child to class until their little one can submerge 8-10 seconds and move through the water independently 3-5 feet. Once they accomplish these two things and are ready, parents move to poolside, staying nearby their child for comfort and safety. Those who are enrolling their toddler for their first lesson are encouraged to check out the “Your Child’s First Swim Lesson” guide on how to make it go smoothly. We also offer the “Emler Facilities” guide to provide insight into how our facilities are designed and maintained for cleanliness, safety, and physical comfort for everyone.

Discover the Right Skill Level for Your Toddler

Trying to determine which level is best for your toddler can be overwhelming, which is why we offer the free Waterbabies Orientation. You can learn more by reading Emler’s “Finding the Right Class for Your Child” guide.

What Your Toddler Will Learn at the Emler Swim School

Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs, toys, and games, making them more fun.

In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.

As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.

As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.

At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath.

Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
