This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.
Toddler Swimming Classes in San Antonio - Alamo Ranch
The Alamo Ranch Waterbabies program unlocks your toddler’s imagination by using songs and games to teach them submersion, breath control, and destination kicking.
Emler aims to teach every child, whether they have swimming skills or not, to reach Waterbabies level of expertise.
We maintain four students or fewer per instructor when parents are not in the water with the child. The class is a small group of same-age kids learning to submerge and kick forward safely through water.
The Emler Approach
Kids learn well through fun, and Emler’s Waterbabies swim lessons in Alamo Ranch are full of fun games to help your kiddo understand easily and grow healthy. Our award-winning SwimScript curriculum is structured for positivity and fun, with teachers instructing through songs and games.
The classes are non-competitive, allowing every little one’s achievements to be celebrated in the pool. Emler’s teachers are certified and highly specialized, teaching the joy of being in water using progressive steps. The lessons become more fun and exciting as the kids achieve new milestones like holding their breath longer, rolling over for a breath, and performing the safety skill, Jump-Turn-Swim.
Emler swim lessons are full of energy, laughter, and happy faces as kids naturally learn to swim. The bond between the teacher and students is strong, assuring trust, support, and love.
Emler guarantees that children will achieve the skills of the swim level and learn to be safer around the water.. We can prove this with our award-winning curriculum and 48 years of experience.
Parents
Most toddlers thrive on cheering and encouragement from their parents. Parents are present during every lesson, whether seated in the observation room or on a bench on the deck, watching and cheering for their little ones.
Check out the Emler guide on Your Child’s First Swim Lesson for tips to help your child easily transition into the water. Also, look at Emler’s state-of-the-art facilities, which are designed and maintained to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of parents and their young ones.
Find the Right Class for Your Toddler
The best way to teach kids how to swim is to start them in an environment that matches their swimming skills. As a result, they go through the right introduction, allowing them to gain confidence as they progress to the next levels and learn in an environment full of positive reinforcement.
That’s why Emler’s age-specific lessons contain progressive levels, and we also provide a free orientation.
What Your Toddler Will Learn
Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs and games, making them more fun.
The Waterbabies program has six levels that help place your toddler at the right level depending on their skills.
In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.
As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.
As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.
At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath. They also learn Jump-Turn-Swim, jumping in and turning around to get back to the wall for safety.
Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
