Schertz Aquatots: Fun and Safe Toddler Swim Classes

The Schertz Aqua Tots program offers an exciting swimming experience for your three-year-old child. Our classes focus on teaching submersion, breath control, and destination kicking through engaging daily themes. Whether your child is new to the water or already has some experience, our highly skilled instructors can tailor the lessons to their individual needs.

Small Group Learning for Maximum Attention

We believe in providing personalized attention to each child, which is why our classes have a maximum of four students per instructor. This small group setting ensures that your toddler can learn how to submerge safely and kick forward in the water while interacting with same-aged peers.

The Emler Approach: Learn, Grow, and Have Fun

At Schertz Aquatots, we understand that kids want to learn, grow, and have fun. That’s why our classes incorporate these three essential elements of development. Through exciting themes and games, we create a positive and non-competitive environment where your child can celebrate their achievements in the pool.

Our certified and highly specialized teachers are experts in opening up the world of water for your child. They guide them through progressive steps, from holding their breath longer to rolling over in the water, submerging underwater, and eventually moving through the water independently. With an emphasis on building a strong teacher-student bond, we ensure your child feels supported and trusted throughout their swimming journey.

With 48 years of experience teaching kids how to swim, Emler guarantees that your child will become proficient in the water. Our award-winning curriculum and dedication to safety make us the trusted choice for parents in Schertz and beyond.

Parent Involvement

We believe in the importance of parent involvement during swimming classes. Whether you prefer to observe comfortably in the observation room or on the deck, you can cheer on your little one as they make progress. Check out our Emler guide to Your Child’s First Swim Lesson for helpful tips on making the experience enjoyable for both you and your toddler. Our facilities are meticulously designed and maintained to ensure complete safety, cleanliness, and physical comfort for both swimmers and parents.

Finding the Right Class for Your Toddler

We understand that each child has unique swim skills, which is why we offer age-specific programs with progressive levels. To determine the perfect class for your toddler, we provide free evaluations. These evaluations help us assess your child’s proficiency and place them in the appropriate teaching level out of our more than 20 available options. Refer to the Emler guide to Finding the Right Class for Your Child for further guidance.

What Your Toddler Will Learn

Your toddler will learn water safety techniques that will last a lifetime. The lessons utilize songs and games, making them more fun.

The Waterbabies program has six levels that help place your toddler at the right level depending on their skills.

In early stages, parents join their child in the water. But as their skills progress, your toddler will be with a teacher while you watch from outside the pool.

As your toddler improves their skills, they will first gain confidence in the water and learn to submerge comfortably for 8-10 seconds.

As their skill set improves, your child will learn to kick through the water, first for up to 3 feet and, at higher skill levels, for up to 10 feet.

At our X-treme Waterbabies level, your toddler will learn rollover breathing, an essential water safety skill where they learn to roll into a back float to take a new breath.

Throughout the toddler swimming lessons, the distance will get longer, the classes more fun, and the smiles wider!
