Aquatots Firewheel

3 years

This program takes 3-year-olds in small groups (no more than 4 per instructor) and teaches them to be submerged under water, how to control their breath, and how to kick forward through the water. Classes are engaging, using imaginative daily themes.

Toddler Swimming Classes in Firewheel

Swimming is more than a fun activity. It provides a great way to stay healthy and even improves children’s learning abilities.

And our Firewheel Waterbabies program is designed to help children up to age three learn to swim in a fun and effective way. Read below to learn how we accomplish this goal.

The Right Swim Lessons for Your Child

We believe that every child can learn to swim – even those not yet comfortable in the water. Before placing your child in our program, we’ll provide a free Waterbabies Orientation. This class provides you with a complete understanding of the program and allows you the opportunity to ask questions.

Small Swim Classes

The Firewheel Waterbabies program is designed for safety and success. And one way we manage this is by keeping our classes small – no more than four students per instructor once parents are no longer in the water. Doing so allows our instructors to keep an even closer eye on our little swimmers. This provides an additional measure of safety, but it goes beyond that.

Our instructors gauge the success of each student throughout the lessons. If a child is struggling with some of the skills, smaller classes allow the instructor to spend more one-on-one time with them.

This is important because all children learn through different methods and at different speeds. If your child needs additional instruction, our swim teachers are able to provide it as they are focused on only a few children at a time.

Lots of Fun and Laughing

Various studies have shown a very important fact: it’s much easier for children to learn and retain information when it’s provided in a fun and engaging way. Fun promotes neural plasticity – or neural changes – that enable the brain to retain details.

Having fun also promotes the release of dopamine, or the “feel-good hormone,” which controls learning retention. And dopamine relieves stress. Studies have proven that stress and pressure can actually impede learning.

Our Firewheel toddler swim classes are all about fun, laughing, and motivation. We use games, toys, and themes to teach our lessons – even if your child doesn’t realize just how structured the lessons are. We believe that by engaging children and helping them gain a pleasurable experience in the water, they’ll not only learn to swim but eventually master it.

Natural Development of Skills

Learning to swim shouldn’t be done under pressure to perform. It should be an enjoyable journey for every child – and one that moves at his or her own pace.

At Emler Swim School, we help children naturally develop their skills through progressive lessons. These lessons begin with simply learning to submerge safely for up to 10 seconds. As they progress, each child learns how to move further through the water and how to carry out specific breathing techniques. When they are ready, they will safely be able to swim independently all around the pool.

The key phrase here is “when they are ready.” Our goal is to help children master swimming but on their own time – not ours. Through every lesson, your child will gain skills. And as those skills naturally develop, they’ll move to the next level.
