Swim Lessons Combine Safety and Bonding

Nov 27, 2019

At Emler Swim School, we teach “Safety With A Splash Of Love” – and we focus on the safety aspect first because it’s we believe it’s important for all parents and guardians make sure their child learns to swim from a young age. We also want parents to know how much love comes from swim lessons. Our kind hearted teachers give every ounce of love they have during lessons, and that is such a integral part of how a child learns to swim.

Swim lessons are also a great time for parents to bond with their child. Starting in our Bathtime Babies classes, it’s 30 minutes of uninterrupted time with baby and guardian. No phones, no televisions, no other distractions – just half an hour of bonding time in our heated pools. It’s important for babies to learn about water from an early age so that they aren’t afraid of water. Our Bathtime Babies classes are great because the parent or guardian is in the child with the baby the whole time, and they spend 30 minutes together splashing and just having fun!

We hear from our Emler families all the time that they signed up for swim lessons for the safety aspect of it, but it ended up being such a fun bonding time between them and their child. We love that our classes are time for parents and children to learn and love together as a family.

Here’s a recent review from Anne who attends our Anderson Mill location:

“The teachers at this location are exceptional. Ms. Claire & Ms. Michelle are both so warm and consistently professional and kind that it makes it a fun experience for the kids and parents. Ms. Michelle is particularly good at integrating music and songs throughout the class. The waterbabies class is FREE until 6 months and even then they let you finish out the semester included until your child ages up. The babies love seeing the other babies. I am so glad a friend told me about this – since 8 weeks that has been my child’s favorite activity every week and great bonding. Highly, highly recommend. Thanks for the truly wonderful experience Emler!!”

We’ve been teaching swim lessons for over 40 years, and our methods of teaching children how to swim are tried and true – we guarantee it. If you are looking to join us for our Bathtime Babies class or any other of our lessons, check us out here on the new swimmer registration page. We will be glad to find a time and day for lessons that works best for your family.
